Youth Fitness
It is no secret that many of our children are failing at fitness. There are several reasons why. Too much television, computer, video games, lack of sufficient physical education in schools, lack of proper nutrition and junk food, and we do not feel as safe anymore letting our children riding their bikes, skateboarding, etc until dark. It is estimated that the average child spends 4 hours a day using electronic equipment. The good news is we can do something about this as parents and guardians. Children need to be active. It is essential that they learn that fitness is for life, not just about being an athlete or jock. Exercise will help improve a child's self esteem, strength and flexibility, a child's creativity, health and Fitness is fun! My programs are a balance of cardiovascular, agility, balance, muscular endurance, strength, posture and fun! They are challenging but not competitive, I believe fitness should be an equal opportunity. I will provide all equipment for each fun session. Any age, Every Body!
Youth fitness programs offer types of exercises that enhance flexibility, muscular strength, endurance, agility, balance, coordination, cardiovascular endurance and body composition in a creative, fun way. There are so many benefits of exercise in children and young adults. Some benefits include increased self-esteem, responsibility, and freedom of expression, creativity, and improved social skills. Improved body composition, fewer chronic health conditions and a lower risk for developing chronic health problems than sedentary children are more important benefits. Based on these important findings, children of all ages should be encouraged to be more physically active on a daily basis. Parents are the single most influential factor regarding how active and healthy our children will be today. Today's children find it more difficult to be fit than did their generation before. Kids today are more sedentary, weigh more, and have more body fat. Only one of three kids from ages 6 to 17 meets the minimum standards of cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, and abdominal and upper body strength. We need to do something now or these children are going to be in trouble as adults.
